(EN) There is provided a pointer light tracking method for imaging by a camera, a laser pointer projected onto various displays such as a projector screen and a large-scale liquid crystal display and a pointer light from an LED pointer and tracking the pointer light on the display according to the captured image data by a computer. It is possible to realize highly accurate tracking even when an image is shown on the display. An entirely black image and white square images located at four corners of it are projected onto the display and the display displaying the entirely black image and the white square images is imaged. Areas corresponding to the white square images are extracted from the obtained image data and the center coordinates (x, y) of the extracted area are calculated. According to the calculated center coordinates (x, y) and the center coordinates (X, Y) of the white square image, a parameter required for correcting distortion by using a projection conversion on the coordinates indicating the position of the pointer light on the display is calculated.

(JA) 　プロジェクタスクリーンや大型液晶ディスプレイ等の各種ディスプレイに投光されているレーザポインタやＬＥＤポインタからのポインタ光をカメラにより撮影し、得られた画像データに基づいてディスプレイ上のポインタ光をコンピュータによりトラッキングするポインタ光トラッキング方法において、ディスプレイに画像が映し出されているときでも高精度なトラッキングを実現する。 　黒ベタ画像とその四隅に位置する白正方形画像をディスプレイに投影させ、これら黒ベタ画像と白正方形画像が映し出されているディスプレイを撮影し、得られた画像データから前記白正方形画像に対応する領域を抽出し、抽出された領域の中心座標（ｘ，ｙ）を算出し、算出された中心座標（ｘ，ｙ）と前記白正方形画像の中心座標（Ｘ，Ｙ）とから、ディスプレイ上のポインタ光の位置を表す座標に対して射影変換を用いたゆがみ補正を行う際に必要なパラメータを算出する。
