| Abstract: | A reagent holder (1) comprises a liquid reagent reservoir (2) defined by a tubular wall having an exit opening (5). A plug (10) is movable between a closed position, in which it prevents reagent exiting the reservoir (2) through the exit opening (5), and an open position, in which it allows reagent to exit the reservoir through the exit opening. A plunger (11) sealingly engages the reservoir wall such that a reagent is retained between the plunger (11) and the plug (10). When he plunger (11) is moved towards the plug (10), the liquid reagent is compressed and is moved to its open position in which reagent is dispensed through the exit opening (5). | ||||||||||||||||||
