| Abstract: | An expanding drill comprises a main drill body (3), a center guiding drill bit (5) disposed within a center hole that located in a lower surface of the body, and the drill bit is sliding fitted into the center hole. In the expanding drill, an enlarged diameter portion (10) is disposed on the drill bit (5), having a plurality of axial convex joints (l0a). A cambered surface of the convex joints is sliding fitted into a wall of a hole of the main drill body, and the convex angles correspond to a plurality of guiding holes (13) provided in a sidewall of the main drill body. An expanding block (2) having a restoring spring is fitted into each of the guiding holes, and an end of the block is connected to the enlarged diameter portion (10). A linkage unit (11) having a plurality of rims (11 a) on the sidewall is mounted on the drill bit (5), and the rims are respectively located between the corresponding ribs (14) provided in the inner wall of the main drill body (3). An axial airway (8) is provided in the main drill body (3) and the center guiding drill bit (5). The expanding drill disclosed by the invention has the advantages of directing drive, bearing uniformity, big expanding working surface, less energy and long working life. | |||||||||||
