(EN) Disclosed is a flexible display device, each image point of which comprises one or several cathodoluminescent capsules (11) that are individually sealed and are mounted on a flexible substrate (12, 13) by means of an automated process. The invention relates to the realm of flat screen displays including large-size screens typically having a diameter exceeding one meter. Such screens traditionally comprise a set of image elements or pixels which are organized in a matrix and are addressed by means of a network of conductors arranged in rows and a network of conductors arranged in columns. According to the invention, said display elements represent capsules (11) which constitute miniature cold cathode tubes comprising one capsule for each color point of each pixel, for example. Moreover, said capsules (11) are designed such that they can be assembled in an automatic manner and form a flexible screen without the need for the capsules (11) to be transferred onto a flexible substrate in a complex process. L'invention se rapporte au domaine des écrans plats de visualisation y compris aux écrans de grande taille, typiquement de plus d'un mètre de diagonale. Classiquement, de tels écrans comportent un ensemble d'éléments d'image ou pixels, organisés en matrice et adressés par un réseau de conducteurs en lignes et un réseau de conducteurs en colonnes. Suivant l'objet de la présente invention, ces éléments d'affichage sont des capsules (11) constituant des tubes cathodiques miniatures à cathode froide, avec par exemple une capsule pour chaque point couleur de chaque pixel. Par ailleurs, ces capsules (11) sont conçues pour pouvoir être assemblées de façon automatique et former un écran flexible, sans nécessiter d'opération complexe de report sur un substrat souple. | |||||
