| Abstract: | A translucent glass panel (1) capable of sufficiently reducing a thermal conductance and providing a high thermal insulating performance, comprising a pair of plate glasses (11) and (12) connected airtight to each other at one faces thereof through seal frames (13) fluidized at low temperatures positioned at the outer peripheral edge parts of the plate glasses, and forming a hollow layer (14) between the glass panels and generally cylindrical pillars (15) as spacers inserted as atmospheric pressure support members into the hollow layer (14) and determining a distance between the plate glasses (11) and (12), wherein the pillars (15) are disposed, in matrix shape, in the hollow layer (14) at specified intervals and, where the surface residual compressive stresses of the plate glasses (11) and (12) are SMPa and the thicknesses of the plate glasses (11) and (12) are d mm, the averaged arrangement distance of the pillars (15) disposed in the hollow layer (14) meet the requirement of D ≤ 5.2 d + 5.5 + (0.8 d + 0.08)·√S. | |||||
