| Abstract: | A discoid optical record medium completed through steps such as film deposition on a discoid substrate material and by the formation of a center hole at the final stage is so manufactured as to prevent an eccentricity upon mounting the medium on a drive. When a hole is made in a center section (26) at the final stage of the manufacturing process of an optical disc, of a discoid substrate material (12) having at least a resin layer over one face the center section (26) is removed under a condition that the diameter of a chucking center hole (28) on the side of the discoid substrate material (12) is larger than on the side of a transparent resin layer (22) of the discoid optical record medium (30), thus producing the discoid optical record medium (30). | |||||||||||
