(EN) The invention concerns a hand-transportable throw-on sieve (1) for horticultural use, with a sieving surface (3) mounted in a frame (4) and inclined at an angle to the horizontal and with a collector (16) for the oversized material located below the delivery point. In order to reduce sieving time and improve separation with a sieve of this kind, thus enabling a greater amount of ready-to-use compost to be produced, the invention proposes that the sieving surface (3) is made up of a regular mesh (8) of bent wires (9) and that the mesh is elastically extendable and can be set in oscillatory motion independently of the frame (4). Also proposed is a method of using a sieve of this kind.

(DE) Die Erfindung betrifft ein von Hand transportables Wurfsieb (1) für den Gartenbau mit einer gegenüber der Horizontalen geneigten Siebfläche (3), die in einem Siebrahmen (4) gehalten ist, sowie einem unterhalb der Aufgabe angeordneten Abzug (16) für das Grobgut. Um mit einem solchen Wurfsieb mit geringerem Zeitaufwand einen besseren Trennerfolg und damit eine höhere Menge an verwendbarem fertigem Rottegut liefern zu können, wird erfindungsgemäss vorgeschlagen, dass die aus einem regelmässigen, aus gekrümmten Drähten (9) gebildeten Drahtgestrick (8) aufgebaute Siebfläche (3) elastisch dehnbar und unabhängig von dem Siebrahmen (4) in Schwingungen versetzbar ist. Ausserdem wird ein Verfahren zum Betrieb dieses Wurfsiebes vorgeschlagen.
