| Abstract: |
The saw-tooth voltage generator is particularly intended for use as a reference and rate generator for the electric monitoring of the heating of motor vehicle. The generator has an output voltage which has an ascending edge determined by an RC element and a descent edge determined by another RC element. A control element made preferably by an operational amplifier (10) is regulated by a first capacitor (C1) and the output voltage is decoupled by another capacitor (C3) having a discharge circuit (R7). The descent curve of the output voltage may thereby be shaped freely in order to have a desired non-linear profile, which is appropriate for compensating the non-linearity of the elements of the object of the adjustment. The RC element determining the descent (C3, R7) is coupled through a diode (D2) with the first capacitor (C1) of the first RC element. Both capacitors may thereby be very rapidly charged through the resistor (R5). |
