(EN) The invention relates to an optically variable element, in particular an optically variable security element for safeguarding banknotes, credit cards or similar and to a security product and a foil, in particular a stamped foil or laminated foil comprising an optically variable element of this type. The optically variable element has a thin film (84, 85) for creating colour shifts by means of interference and/or a reflective layer (88). Said optically variable element comprises in addition a transparent window (89b) and the thin film (84, 85) and/or the reflective layer (88) is/are respectively configured as a partial element, i.e. as a partial thin film element or a partial reflective element, whereby the partial elements surround the surface area of the transparent window.

(DE) Die Erfindung betrifft ein optisch variables Element, insbesondere ein optisch variables Sicherungselement zur Sicherung von Banknoten, Kreditkarten und dergleichen, und ein Sicherheitsprodukt sowie eine Folie, insbesondere eine Prägefolie oder Laminierfolie, mit einem derartigen optisch variablen Element. Das optisch variable Element weist einen Dünnfilm (84, 85) zur Erzeugung von Farbverschiebungen mittels Interferenz und/oder eine reflektierende Schicht (88) auf. Das optisch variable Element weist weiter ein transparentes Fenster (89b) auf und der Dünnfilm (84, 85) und/oder die reflektierende Schicht (88) ist jeweils als partielles Element, nämlich als partielles Dünnfilmelement bzw. als partielles reflektierendes Element ausgebildet, wobei das oder die partiellen Elemente den Flächenbereich des transparenten Fensters umschliessen.
