| Abstract: | The present invention provides a camera system having a compound array of imaging sensors disposed in a retinal configuration (fig.1). The system preferably comprises a concave housing (104). A first imaging sensor (106) is centrally disposed along the housing (104). At least one secondary imaging sensor (108) is disposed along the housing, adjacent to the first imaging sensor (106). The focal axis (124) of the second imaging sensor, in the preferred embodiment, intersects with the focal axis (130) of the first imaging sensor within an intersection area (132). | ||||||||||||||||||
