| Abstract: |
This invention is directed to an additive/process and which provides a simple, quick, and low cost, slow speed mixer blend which produces time and again. The additive/process aid comprises about 29% by weight of grey slate flour, about 28% by weight of corn starch, about 8% by weight of liquid polyester, about 20% by weight of calcium carbonate, and about 15% by weight of silica gel. The additive/process aid significantly improves the physical characteristics of rubber elastomers, by providing, among other things, increased tensile strength, abrasion resistance, elasticity, and tear strength. |
