PCT fees

The tables showing the applicability of the 75% reduction in certain fees payable to the European Patent Office and of the 75% reduction in the search fee payable to the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office have been updated in accordance with the revisions to the World Bank list.  See:

Archive of PCT Assembly documents

The reports of all meetings of the PCT Assembly have been available for a long time now, however, in an effort to expand the archives of PCT documents available on the Internet, a historical archive of PCT Assembly documents from 1978 to 1996, containing all documents issued for a given meeting, has recently been made available on the PCT Resources page at:

These documents span close to 20 years of PCT history and provide insight and perspective on the early beginnings and development of the PCT system.  Additional historical collections of PCT documents will progressively be added to the PCT Resources page.

ISA and IPEA Agreements

Updated versions of the Agreements, in English and French, between the International Bureau of WIPO and the following Authorities as International Searching Authorities (ISAs) and International Preliminary Examining Authorities (IPEAs):

JP     Japan Patent Office (1 July 2010)

US    United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) (17 June 2010)

relating to the functioning of those Authorities as ISAs and IPEAs under the PCT, as in force from the dates indicated in parentheses, have been published in English and French at, respectively:

It is recalled that, with effect from 1 July 2010, the European Patent Office carries out supplementary international searches, and it will thus be possible for applicants to choose it as an Authority specified for supplementary search (SISA).

The table of time limits for entering the national phase has been updated with effect from 1 July 2010 and is available in English, French and Russian at, respectively:
