PCT-SAFE Update

Release of new version of the PCT-SAFE Client software

A new version of the PCT-SAFE Client software (version 3.51.047.223, dated 1 July 2010) may now be downloaded from the PCT-SAFE website at:

http://www.wipo.int/pct-safe/en/download/download_client.htm

This version (“build 223”) includes the following:

  • January 2010 request form modifications relating to e-mail authorizations and to the possibility of requesting the International Bureau to retrieve priority documents via the Digital Access Service (DAS) which are now available for filers with all receiving Offices that accept PCT applications in fully electronic and/or PCT-EASY format;
  • modifications relating to credit card payment with RO/IB.  For further information on credit card payments (e-payments) see “Further Information on the Secure Online PCT E-Payment System for Certain PCT Fees”, above, and  PCT Newsletter No. 06/2010, as well as a user guide at:  http://www.wipo.int/pct-safe/en/support/user_documentation.htm;
  • relaxed signature requirement of the request form for PCT-EASY/EFS‑Web applications filed with RO/US;
  • a pop-up message to draw attention to the “Continue” button at the bottom of the PDF preview screen during the signature/submission process;
  • the addition of validation checks to the priority document retrieval functionality;
  • the introduction of validation checks to e-mail addresses;
  • the new WIPO logo;
  • updated fee schedules, where applicable; and
  • other minor functionality and graphic user interface enhancements.

Please note that the “PCT‑SAFE Unit” has been renamed as the “PCT e‑Services Unit”. In addition to PCT‑SAFE support, the Unit also provides customer support for other PCT electronic services.
