July 2009 edition in Arabic and Spanish
The Arabic version of the Regulations under the PCT, as in force from 1 July 2009, is now available in PDF format at:

Time limits for entering the national phase
The table of time limits for entering the national phase has been updated with effect from 18 February 2010 to include the new possibility of extending the time limit for entering the national phase in Egypt, and is available in English and Russian, respectively, at:

The table indicates, for each designated/elected Office, the time limits for entering the national (or regional) phase under Chapters I and II of the PCT.
Types of protection available via the PCT in PCT Contracting States
The table setting out, for each Contracting State, the types of protection which can be obtained via the PCT has been updated with effect from 18 February 2010 (changes have been made in relation to protection available in Chile, Liberia, Montenegro, the Republic of Moldova and Thailand) and is available in English and Russian at, respectively:

PCT Reservations, Declarations, Notifications and Incompatibilities
The table of “PCT Reservations, Declarations, Notifications and Incompatibilities” (http://www.wipo.int/pct/en/texts/reservations/res_incomp.html) has been updated to take into account the withdrawal by the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office (an operating name of the Patent Office) of its notification of incompatibility under PCT Rule 49.6(f) (see “Withdrawal of Notifications of Incompatibility of Certain Modified PCT Rules with National Laws", above).
Quality reports
In accordance with the PCT International Search and Preliminary Examination Guidelines, paragraphs 21.17 and 21.18, the International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authorities make annual reports on the quality management systems which they have implemented for their work as International Authorities. The reports for 2009 are now available at:

Information on filing with the International Bureau as PCT receiving Office, in particular: accepted modes of filing, fees payable, accepted currencies and modes of payment, special features of filing with RO/IB, and contact details of the PCT Receiving and Processing Team (for example, to check receipt and status of payment of a PCT application) is now available in Portuguese and Spanish at, respectively:
