PCT Notable Inventions: Anti-HIV Vaccine

The Kenya AIDS Vaccine Initiative (KAVI) at the University of Nairobi has attracted world attention through the development of a pair of candidate vaccines aimed at preventing HIV infection and AIDS, in partnership with scientists from the UK Medical Research Council's Human Immunology Unit at the University of Oxford and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI).
