Accepted means of filing
Online: as a WAD created by JPO PAS software and submitted via ISDN , or as a WASP created and submitted by the PCT-SAFE client software
Accepted digital certificates
Digital certificates are not accepted for filing PCT international applications through JPO PAS.
When filing through PCT-SAFE, digital certificates issued by the following certification authorities are accepted:
- WIPO CA
- Registrar of Legal Affairs Bureau
- The Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry
- Japan Certification Services, Inc.
- Secom Trust Systems Co., Ltd.
- ChudenCTI Co., Ltd.
Accepted formats
This Office accepts the filing of the application body (description, claims and abstract) in character-coded format (e.g. XML). It does not accept the inclusion of application documents in pre-conversion format according to Administrative Instruction 706.
Sequence listing should preferably be filed, as a separate part of the description, in WIPO's ST.25 text format (no additional fees). International applications that include tables related to sequence listings are not accepted for online filing.
