DAS Consultative Group

The Consultative Group is established in accordance with paragraph 21 of the Framework Provisions to provide advice to the International Bureau on the implementation of operating procedures within the scope of the framework provisions. Changes to the Framework Provisions themselves are made in consultation with the Working Group on the Digital Access Service for Priority Documents.

The Consultative Group consists of:

• the Patent Offices from which the International Bureau has received a notification under paragraph 10 or 12 of the Framework Provisions;
• any other Patent Offices which notify the International Bureau that they wish to participate;
• as observers, interested organizations invited to meetings of the Working Group that notify the International Bureau that they wish to participate in the Consultative Group.

Pending the setting up of a specific forum for the Consultative Group, proceedings take place primarily through the electronic forum which was set up for the Working Group.
