Meeting Title	: Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications The International Symposium on Geographical Indications is organized every other year by WIPO in cooperation with an interested Member State. It brings together representatives of Member States’ administrations, producers of GI products and specialists in the field of geographical indications. The Symposium is a forum for an exchange of ideas and views on various issues relating to the use and protection of geographical indications. The Symposium will offer insights into the technicalities of the subject and it is expected that it will contribute to the ongoing debate on geographical indications at the national and international levels. WIPO, the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property of Peru (INDECOPI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru jointly organize the 2011 Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications, in Lima, Peru, from June 22 to 24. : Colloque mondial sur les indications géographiques Le Colloque mondial sur les indications géographiques est organisé tous les deux ans par l’OMPI en coopération avec un État membre intéressé. Il réunit les représentants des administrations des États membres, des fabricants de produits protégés au titre d’indications géographiques, et des spécialistes dans le domaine des indications géographiques. Le colloque sert de cadre à l’échange d’idées et de points de vue sur diverses questions relatives à l’utilisation et à la protection des indications géographiques. Le colloque fournira des indications sur certains aspects techniques de la question et il est attendu qu’il contribue aux débats actuels sur les indications géographiques aux niveaux national et international. L’OMPI, l’Institut National pour la Défense de la Concurrence et la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle du Pérou (INDECOPI) et le Ministère des affaires étrangères du Pérou organisent conjointement le Colloque mondial de 2011 sur les indications géographiques, à Lima, Pérou, du 22 au 24 juin. : Simposio mundial sobre las indicaciones geográficas El Simposio Mundial sobre Indicaciones Geográficas es organizado por la OMPI cada dos años, en cooperación con un Estado miembro interesado.
