Provisional title of presentation and short abstract:
Title: Dissemination of patent information: To share or not to share!
Abstract: Accessible patent information is the key to a well functioning international patent system. Patent information is also a basic requirement when it comes to ensuring the quality of granted patents. Consequently, it is crucial to strengthen and develop the way we make use of patent information.
To steer clear of a global patent crisis, it is among other things important to focus on new possibilities and technologies which can help create the best environment for the dissemination of patent information. New technologies such as web-based services, electronic publication, etc. are just some of the ways in which patent information can be made accessible for the benefit of both users and authorities.
