Alejandro Martín graduated from mathematics at the Universidad de los Andes in 1998. Then he finished a master's degree in philosophy at the UNED, Madrid in 2002, where he focused his studies in the history of logic and the philosophy of mathematics and language. After a few years of teaching university courses (mathematics, logic, philosophy) in Bogotá, he began his work as editor in the book magazine Piedepágina in 2004. He also began to edit a film magazine on the internet: www.ochoymedio.info. Last year, he curated a book exhibition about dictionaries in the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango and edited a catalogue for an art exhibition from the Brazilian artist Regina Silveira. Now, he is in charge of the digital library of Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, the main public library in Colombia. He is interested in the ways the digital media and networks provide new spaces for publishing and communication and how they challenge the traditional conceptions of knowledge, property and the "public".
