Christian Lupovici is currently Director of the Bibliographic and Digital Information department at the Bibliothèque nationale de Franc (BnF), which is in charge of data models, formats and standards, as well as bibliographic and authority files and responsible for quality of metadata in the BnF information systems. Christian Lupovici monitors and is involved in the legal deposit procedures the Legal deposit coordination committee in BnF, including the Legal deposit of the internet. He is also the BnF representative – and former chair – in the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC).
Christian Lupovici has a long experience of copyright discussions with publishers, first in the nineties as member of the European Librarian and Publishers’ working group (ELP) and currently a member of the CENL/ FEP Committee on Electronic publications.
Christian Lupovici was President of ADBU (the French association of University Directors) when the discussions on the French law on authors rights took place. He has been the first European representative at the OCLC users’ Council.
