Birgit Nordsmark Henriksen
MA in History and Computer Science from University of Copenhagen 1987. After 9 years as software developer in the telecomunication industry she joined the Royal Library in Denmark and since 1997 was assigned Head of Digitisation and Web Publication. Since 1998, when Denmark included net material in the legal deposit law, she was one of the driving forces in web archiving projects in Denmark and Scandinavia. As Head of Digital Preservation member of the Steering Committee of the Danish Net Archive - http://netarchive.dk - and of International Internet Preservation Consortium - http://netpreserve.org . Appointed board member of the Danish Film Institute in 2005 and became Head of Digital Preservation Department and Deputy Director, National Library Division at The Royal Library in 2006.
