The Office accepts all the class headings of the Nice Classification.

Generally, local representation is not required. However, in case of transformation and replacement, there is need for a local representative before the Office.

The rules governing the use of collective and guarantee marks must be sent to the Office within two months from the WIPO notification of designation of Madagascar.

Recording of replacement takes place upon written request, filed with the Office.
Handling fee: 20,000 ariary (MGA) per registration. All rights reserved.

The Office examines applications resulting from transformation on formalities only.
The usual application fees must be paid.

None.

Recording in the International Register of a trademark license related to international registration is effective in Madagascar.
