Recording of replacement takes place upon written request filed with the Office. A fee is required.

The Office examines applications resulting from transformation if the transformed mark’s examination is still pending before the Office, in which case the examination continues. If the transformed mark which is subject to transformation has been accepted already in the territory of Republic of Moldova, a certificate of registration is issued without examination. Fees are payable for all the procedures in relation to transformation.

Recording in the International register of a trademark license related to an international registration does not have effect in Moldova. The national law provides for recording in the National Register of a trademark license related to an international registration.
