Nice Classification

The office accepts the class headings of the nice classification in the following classes: 2, 13, 14, 15, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 33, 32, 34.
For all other classes the applicant may request the class heading but he will need to make a statement verifying that all the goods/services requested are within their area of activities.

Representation before the Office

When responding to a provisional refusal, local representation is required, unless the applicant accepts limitations proposed by the office or files a request for the recording of a limitation to the International Bureau.

Collective and Guarantee Marks

Memorandum of association and regulations governing the use of the collective and guarantee marks must be sent to the office simultaneously or pursuant to filling the application, or at the most within a period of three months from the notification from the Office, in which case the applicant will need to appoint a local representative.


Recording of replacement takes place upon request, filed with the office. A fee of 314 NIS is required.


A fee of 1601 NIS is required for the first class, an additional fee of 1203 NIS for each additional class. (The fees are updated annually at the beginning of each year).

Maintenance Requirement



Recording in the International Register of a trademark license related to an international registration is effective in Israel.
