The Office does not accept the following terms of the Class Headings listed below.


THE FOLLOWING TERMS ARE NOT CONSIDERED TO BE CLEAR AND PRECISE:

Class 06:
Goods of common metal not included in other classes.

Class 07:
Machines.

Class 14:
Goods in precious metals or coated therewith, not included in other classes.

Class 16:
Goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; (namely: paper and cardboards).

Class 17:
Goods made from these materials and not included in other classes; (namely: Rubber, gutta-percha, gum, asbestos, mica).

Class 18:
Goods made of these materials and not included in other classes; (namely: Leather and imitations of leather).

Class 20:
Goods (not included in other classes) of wood, cork, reed, cane, wicker, horn, bone, ivory, whalebone, shell, amber, mother-of-pearl, meerschaum and substitutes for all these materials, or of plastics.

Class 37:
Repair; installation services.

Class 40:
Treatment of materials.

Class 45:
Personal and social services rendered by others to meet the needs of individuals.

PROPOSALS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO SPECIFICATIONS OF THE TERMS LISTED ABOVE (THE EXAMPLES ARE ALSO LISTED IN THE HARMONIZED DATABASE:

Class 06:
Building materials of common metals; building panels of common metals.

Class 07:
Agricultural machines; painting machines.

Class 14:
Works of art of precious metals; charms of precious metals.

Class 16:
Filtering materials of paper; paper stationary.

Class 17:
Non-metallic flexible hoses made of rubber; articles made of rubber for sealing.

Class 18:
Briefcases [leather goods]; leather for shoes.

Class 20:
Handles made of plastic for doors; wooden picture mouldings.

Class 37:
Repair of shoes; television repair; installation of windows: installation of computers.

Class 40:
Treatment of toxic waste; metal treating.

Class 45:
Personal shopping for others; marriage agencies.

Representation before the Office

Representation is not mandatory.

Collective and Guarantee Marks

Regulations governing the use of the mark must be sent to the Office within the time limit specified in the provisional refusal issued by the Office in that regard (time limit extendable).

Replacement

The Office takes note of the replacement upon request from the holder.

Transformation

The Office examines the transformed mark as a normal application. However, if the Office has accepted the territorial effect of the designation prior to the request for transformation, it will examine the application only on formalities.
Transformation fee: DKK 1,500.

Maintenance Requirement

None.

Licenses

Recording in the International Register of a trademark license related to an international registration is effective in Denmark.
