| Nice Classification |
The Office accepts all of the class headings of the Nice Classification. |
| Representation before the Office |
Local representation (attorney at law, a patent attorney, a notary or anyone having residence) is required if the holder of an international registration does not have a residence or an industrial establishment in Austria. |
| Collective and Guarantee Marks |
Regulations governing the use of a collective mark must be sent to the Office within four months from the date the provisional refusal is sent in this regard (extendable). |
| Replacement |
No specific procedure. Recording upon request. |
| Transformation |
Other than formalities, in certain cases the Office examines applications resulting from transformation on absolute grounds also. The following fees are required: application fee of 300 Euro for three classes; 72 Euro for each additional class. |
