WIPO Industrial Property Statistics Online Directory

The objective of the WIPO Industrial Property Statistics Online Directory is to facilitate the work of government officials and policy makers, representatives of industrial property offices, lawyers, professionals from private companies, universities and public research institutes seeking IP statistics.

The creation of the Directory was announced during the WIPO Conference on the Importance of Statistics on Patenting Trends Analysis and Projections in September 2003. This event strongly reflected WIPO's willingness to boost its activities in relation with industrial property statistics, and the creation of the Directory was presented as one of WIPO's immediate plans in this area.

The Directory points to web sites providing statistics on the following industrial property rights: patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, plant varieties and microorganisms. In addition, it includes links to statistics that do not concern industrial property per se but which may be related such as statistics on economy, science and technology, innovation and research and development.

This Directory will be updated regularly. If your organization, although not listed in the Directory, provides industrial property statistics or any relevant statistics in the areas of economy, science and technology, innovation or research and development, you are invited to send an e-mail to the following address: ipstats.mail@wipo.int. Please indicate the name of your organization, its area of activity and the web site address where the information is available. WIPO reserves the right to determine whether or not to publish the information provided.
