Main Findings
Piracy is seen as a risk for companies and for employees. Legitimate licenses are an important consideration when deciding which commercial software to buy. 68% of professionals claim their workplaces have policies in place to keep people from downloading. 56% of professionals believe that the use of unlicensed software is against the law and unethical. While attitudes towards software piracy are relatively homogenous within the professional sectors surveyed, they differ considerably between sectors.
