Main Findings
Price is the main motivation for 91.1% of those who buy pirated goods. 84.4% perceive product malfunction as the main risk of purchasing pirated products. 60% are used to purchasing pirated products.
Question the effectiveness of outreach education campaigns and penalties to users of pirated goods in developing countries. Unveil plans for a future study on consumer behaviour vis-à-vis pirated goods.
