Main duties
Under the supervision of the Head of the French Translation Section, the incumbent performs the following duties:
- translation into French, with self-revision, of important, complex or urgent documents dealing with legal, administrative and technical matters, from English, Spanish and Russian;
- revision of translations produced by other translators and revision of documents translated by translators of a lower grade or external translators;
- participation in other translation and editing work carried out by the Section, in particular during conferences, as well as in terminology work;
- advice to less experienced French-language translators;
- perform other related duties as required.
