The Office republishes international registrations and renewals, in English, in the national TPI Industrial Design Bulletin at:
The Office carries out examination on substantive grounds, other than novelty.
Six months from the date the registration is published in the national TPI Industrial Design Bulletin (non-extendable).
|Time Limit for Responding to Refusal||
One month from the date of receipt of the notification (non-extendable).
|Effect as Grant of Protection||
The international registration has the effect as a grant of protection, if no refusal has been issued, as from the international registration date. If a refusal (partial or total) has been issued and the refusal has been subsequently withdrawn, the international registration has the effect as a grant of protection as from the international registration date.
|Representation before the Office||
Holders of international registrations may not file documents or appear before the Office directly, unless the holder is a legal or natural person or has a real and effective industrial or commercial establishment and/or a permanent residence in Turkey. A list of trademark and patent attorneys is maintained by the Office and available by contacting the Office or at:
