Procedures Applying when this Contracting Party is Designated
The Office does not republish international registrations or renewals.
The Office carries out examination on substantive grounds, on issues such as the definition of a 'design', public order or morality.
|Time Limit for Responding to Refusal||
Ninety days from the date of notification (non-extendable).
|Effect as Grant of Protection||
The international registration has the effect as a grant of protection as from the international registration date.
The creator of the industrial design must be a natural person.
|Representation before the Office||
Holders of international registrations may not file documents or appear before the Office directly. The Office maintains a list of industrial property agents which is available from the Office.
|Fees payable on division of the international registration||
