The Office carries out examination on substantive grounds, other than novelty. |

| Time Limit for Responding to Refusal |
Two months from the date of the notification (extendable once, for two months). |
| Effect as Grant of Protection |
The international registration has the effect as a grant of protection as from the international registration date and, if any, from the priority date. |
| Representation before the Office |
Holders of international registrations may file documents or appear before the Office directly for all matters. However, the correspondence must be in a Scandinavian language. The Office does not maintain a list of IP agents or representatives. |

Not applicable. |
