Procedures Applying when this Contracting Party is Designated
The Office republishes the international registration, in Norwegian, in the national Designtidende (Mønstertidende) (Design Gazette) at:
The Office carries out examination on substantive grounds, other than novelty.
|Time Limit for Responding to Refusal||
Two months from the date of the notification (extendable once, for two months).
|Effect as Grant of Protection||
The international registration has the effect as a grant of protection as from the international registration date and, if any, from the priority date.
The creator of the industrial design must be a natural person.
|Representation before the Office||
Holders of international registrations may file documents or appear before the Office directly for all matters. However, the correspondence must be in a Scandinavian language. The Office does not maintain a list of IP agents or representatives.
|Fees payable on division of the international registration||
