The Office does not republish international registrations or renewals.
The Office carries out examination on substantive grounds, including novelty.
Six months from the date of publication of the international registration in the International Designs Bulletin (non-extendable).

Six months from the date of notification (non-extendable).
|Effect as Grant of Protection||
The international registration has the effect as a grant of protection as from the international registration date.
|Representation before the Office||
Holders may not file documents or appear before the Office directly. Local representation is required by a trademark attorney. A list of trademark attorneys is annexed to the provisional refusal, if issued.
|Fees payable on division of the international registration||
