    A global forum - by and for - leading thinkers, negotiators and entrepreneurs from government, academia, IGOs, NGOs, industry and the public to identify tools, explore strategies and develop global solutions to promote innovation and technology transfer around a pressing global problem.
  • Conference on Intellectual Property and Public Policy Issues (July 13 and 14, 2009)
    The conference addressed issues relating to the interface of intellectual property with other areas of public policy, in particular, health, the environment, climate change and food security.
  • Life Sciences Symposium: Patent Landscaping and Transfer of Technology under Multilateral Environmental Agreements (August 26, 2008)
    This Symposium explored IP rights and their role in the development and transfer of technologies within the context of multilateral environmental agreements, many of which contain technology transfer provisions. Attending the Symposium were representatives from the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), as well as representatives of industry.
