The Global Infrastructure includes the following areas:

• IP institutions and authorities (Technical assistance for modernizing IP Offices)
• Other IP institutions (Capacity Building and networking by Technology Innovation Support Centers (TISC)
• Common platform for electronic data interchange among IP Offices participating in international collaboration
• Tools (International classifications in the trademarks and industrial designs fields, the International Patent Classification, Green Inventory , Nice Classification)
• Standards and Technical Agreements (WIPO IP Standards, MOU of patent data exchange)
• Databases (PATENTSCOPE, Global Brand Database and Access to Special Databases (aRDi and ASPI)
• Services (International Cooperation for Patent Examination (ICE); Patent Information Services, including Legal Status of Patents)
• Forum for exchanging experience and lessons learnt (Global Symposium of IP Authorities)
