Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications

Every two years, the International Symposium on Geographical Indications (GIs) brings together representatives of national administrations, producers of GI products and GI specialists.  The Symposium provides a forum for exchanging ideas and perspectives on issues relating to the use and protection of geographical indications.  It also offers technical insights and information on recent developments in the field.

The 2017 symposium is organized jointly by WIPO and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC); with the support of the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province; and hosted by the People’s Government of Yangzhou City and Jiangsu Administration for Industry and Commerce.

Due to very high interest in the Symposium, the maximum number of participants has already been reached.  We regret that we are unable to accept any new registration.
