Regional Seminar on Intellectual Property and Competition Policy was hosted by the Intellectual Property Service (IPS) of the Kyrgyz Republic, in Bishkek, on 28 and 29 November, 2011. The rationale behind the seminar was on the one hand to provide for a wider forum to discuss issues which attract a growing attention both within developed economies and emerging countries (i.e. the interface between IP and Competition Policy) and, on the other, to stimulate a fruitful discussion between IP and Competition Agencies. The Seminar brought together the IP and the Competition communities to encourage mutual understanding and experience exchanges.
