Note of the International Bureau

At its eighteenth session, held in Geneva from October 2 to 11, 2000, the Committee of Experts of the Nice Union adopted a number of changes to the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (Nice Classification) (see Annexes IV and V of document CLIM/CE/18/5*), which changes will be published in the Alphabetical List of the next (eighth) edition of the Classification that will enter into force on January 1, 2002.

It should be noted, in particular, that the Committee of Experts adopted the following new indications relating to the Internet, which can be used from now on.
