discuss the experience using the reformed IPC |

Two years after the
introduction of the reformed IPC, the World Intellectual Property Organization is organizing a
Workshop to discuss the experience using the reformed IPC. The Workshop will be open to all
interested in the development and use of patent classification. It will take place at WIPO
Headquarters in Geneva on February 4 and 5, 2008. More details will be announced during the second
week of January 2008. |

(IPC 2008.04) will enter into force on April 1, 2008. An early publication (IPCEarlyPUB) of version 2008.04 is available for
consultation (in English). The
master files
of this version as well as the
compilation
of amendments in English to version IPC 2008.01 included in version IPC 2008.04 are also
available. |

| The new version 2007.01 of the International Patent Classification
(IPC)
The first new version of the advanced level of the reformed IPC containing amendments to the advanced level is now published on the WIPO IPC home page (http://www.wipo.int/classifications/ipc) in the two authentic languages, English and French. This version entered into force on January 1, 2007. |
