Study on the Performance of Copyright Industries in Selected Arab Countries

With the expertise and assistance of renowned economists, the Arab Bureau has conducted country studies on the performance of copyright industries in five selected Arab countries: (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia).

The objective of the study is to measure the economic impact of copyright and related rights industries in these respective Arab countries, as well as to pinpoint in an introductory way, the main problems regarding copyright and related rights which some industries in these countries could be facing at the moment. This study is needed to provide business leaders and policy makers in both the public and private sectors with new insights into the economic performance of firms operating in copyright industries and the factors affecting, positively and negatively, the growth process of such firms. These new insights will provide assistance in making informed policy decisions at firm, industry and country levels.
