To whom it may concern,
I think Internet domain names should be complete property of the
individuals who registered them, not the people who claim to have the
trademark for it - UNLESS the domain name is completely the same as the
actual trademark.
Say for example someone registers CNN.store - sure CNN is a registered
trademark of Cable News Network, but CNN.store is NOT a registered
trademark of Cable News Network at all. CNN.store could be something
like Coles NetNanny Store, a reseller of the NetNanny software. With our
current rules/regulations - Cable News Network can sue Coles NetNanny
store, take the CNN.store domain name and therefore put the web-based
business out of commission! THAT IS SILLY! It should be changed ASAP.
