As a marketing consultant I am advising companies on topics as domain name selection. I would like to see all registered (one, two, or three word) trademarks, regardless of country, protected as domain names. Where there is a conflict, the first to use the mark as a domain name should prevale. The .com, .org .uk, etc. should not be part of the name. Thus a company with a registered mark of "xyz" and is using xyz.com does not have to fear that someone else will use xyz.net .
