UDRP Model Complaint and Filing Guidelines

WIPO has prepared a Model Complaint intended to serve as a template for preparing your Complaint under the UDRP, UDRP Rules, and WIPO Supplemental Rules.

The WIPO UDRP Model Complaint is available for download as a Word document.

It is up to you to correctly prepare your case documents, and all Complaints are reviewed for administrative compliance. We will contact you if there is a deficiency in need of correction.

Your Complaint and any annexes should be submitted by email to: domain.disputes@wipo.int.

File size and format specifications are set out in WIPO Supplemental Rules.

Complaints filed outside working hours or on holidays or weekends will be processed the next working day. You will get an acknowledgement of receipt once your case is received.

When submitting your Complaint to WIPO, you should also provide a copy to the domain name registrar; a list of registrars and their contact information can be found at the ICANN List of Accredited Registrars.

For your Complaint to be accepted, please submit your payment at the same time you submit your Complaint. Payment should be made according to the Schedule of Fees under the UDRP.

Additional information

To assist your case preparation, you may wish to consult the Legal Index of WIPO UDRP Panel Decisions and WIPO Overview of WIPO Panel Views on Selected UDRP Questions which summarizes the consensus views of panelists who have decided UDRP cases on most major topics.

Questions concerning the filing requirements and payment related queries may be sent by email to arbiter.mail@wipo.int.
