New Online Course: IP Training Strategies (IPTI-001)

The Intellectual Property Training Institutions (IPTIs) Program of the WIPO Academy just launched its first online course: "Intellectual Property Training Strategies (IPTI-001)". The course is offered free-of-charge to those wishing to learn how to design and deliver intellectual property (IP) training activities in response to the learning needs of their audiences. Registration for the IPTI-001 is now open on the WIPO eLearning Center.

What does the course cover?

The content is based on the introductory course of the “Training of Trainers Program” which was delivered to 400+ trainers of IPTIs in WIPO member states. The course covers key topics for IP trainers including:

  • How adults learn;
  • Diagnosing training needs;
  • Training design and delivery;
  • Training assessment and evaluation; and
  • eLearning basics.

The IP Training Strategies course is currently available in English, as the Arabic, French and Spanish versions will be made available in 2024. The course is not tutored and includes a self-study program that concludes in an online final test. After successfully completing the course participants are awarded a WIPO Academy certificate.
