Matthieu van Kaam Chief Country Officer Philips Intellectual Property & Standards The Netherlands |
| Matthieu van Kaam Studied Law at the University of Nijmegen with specialisation in Intellectual Property, European Law and Anti trust. Joined Philips Intellectual Property and Standards in 1980 and has been Philips Group Trademark Counsel until 1999. Joined the IP&S management team in 1999 as Capability Director and General Manager of IP&S in the Netherlands. After a stay in the US as General Manager of the IP&S US organization, he returned to the Netherlands in January 2005 to take up the position of Chief Country Officer. Was chairman of the working group Trademarks and Designs of the European Employers Federation (Unice) and has represented Unice in International WIPO meetings and diplomatic conferences e.g. the Protocol of Madrid concerning the International Registration of Marks, The Hague Agreement concerning the International Registration of Designs and the Trade Mark Law Treaty. |
