Anil Sinha

Mr. Anil Sinha, is currently the Head of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Worldwide Academy’s Research and Executive Program. In a career spanning over sixteen years at WIPO, Mr. Sinha has been responsible, among other things, for the coordination of WIPO’s legal and technical assistance programs in the Asia and the Pacific region and for the administration, promotion and development of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system in developing countries and emerging economies.

Mr. Sinha has written and reviewed several articles, papers and study materials on intellectual property (IP), has taught IP to varied audiences worldwide and regularly advises academic institutions, industry and government officials and agencies on capacity building in the field of IP education, training and research.

Mr. Sinha holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, a Master of International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and is presently studying law at the University of London.

Prior to joining WIPO, Mr. Sinha worked in the marketing and trade division of Pechiney, a major french aluminium conglomerate (later acquired by Alcan), in India.
