General Intellectual Property Management Program

These multidisciplinary programs combine the functional areas of business management with IP economics and IP law. It examines the role of IP as a strategic business asset and tool through case studies, best practices and innovative pedagogy and demonstrates how IP can be leveraged for enhanced and enduring competitive advantage. Participants will be challenged to reflect upon and apply the learning to their respective business environment. These programs aim to develop leadership skills in the strategic management of Intellectual Property. It is meant for board of directors, entrepreneurs and senior executives and will be offered in Geneva and in select locations abroad.

Specialized Intellectual Property Management Program

These programs aim to develop IP competencies in functional areas of business management. They examine how specific IP rights, such as patents, trademarks, designs and copyrights, can be strategically leveraged to enhance innovation management, marketing or finance. These programs are targeted at executives and senior managers responsible for research and development, marketing, finance, strategy and human resources.

Specialized Intellectual Property Skills and Competencies Development Program

These programs aim at developing specific IP skills and competencies in business organizations such as drafting patent specifications, patent search and mapping, licensing and technology transfer, IP audit and valuations, IP conflict management (litigation, mediation and arbitration) as well as theoretical and practical sessions on protecting inventions, trademarks, designs through national, regional and international systems, including the PCT, Madrid and Hague systems.

Industry Specific Seminar and Workshop Series

These workshops will invite leading experts from emerging and other economies to present an analysis of the political, economic, commercial and regulatory environment affecting a specific industry/sector (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, information technology, iron and Steel, consumer electronics) and to identify emerging business opportunities. Special focus will be on an examination of the IPR landscape, in particular the legal regime relating to protection and enforcement of IPRs. It will also include discussion on recent developments in the IP regime at the national and international level.
