DL-101 General Course on Intellectual Property
Course Outline: Delivered via the Internet, this course comprises twelve modules:

- Related Rights
- Trademarks
- Geographical Indications
- Industrial Design
- Patents
- WIPO Treaties
- Unfair Competition
- Protection of New Varieties of Plants
- Summary and Discussion on IP Rights
Students must submit a final exam before completing the course.
Target Audience: Government officials, staff in collective management societies, business managers in publishing, broadcasting and industry, students in faculties of law, business, chemistry, engineering, journalism, etc. needing a basic knowledge of IP.
Timeframe: This course involves about 50 hours of study time over a period of six weeks. Tutorial assistance is provided by in-house experts via the course administrator. The course is offered two times a year in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
